RongRong and Inri, two well-known contemporary artists in China participated to the effort with their powerful photographic images which were on display at the Shanghai Convention Center during this years PhotoFair.

Social activism and political statements are deeply interwoven throughout Chinese contemporary art, as evidenced by graphic documentary films and art installations by artists such as Ai WeiWei, and Yang Qian.

In some cases, they are physically beaten and incarcerated for their trouble.
